1. Start the morning tasks and help clean by picking up all the trash you see and putting it in the garbage.
2. Before the cashier opens their counter, prepare all materials like cellophane bags, boxes, and straws for tying, and Crayola for marking the plastic bags.
3. Before you scan a customer's purchase, mark the plastic with the correct letters for that day’s QUALITY, and if a customer asks, just say “this is for us, Ma’am” without explaining the letters' meaning.
4. Ensure that packages, boxes, and other customer purchases do not mix. If a customer leaves their items, immediately fill out a blue slip and list how many sacks, boxes, cans, bundles, etc., at the courtesy counter. Make sure the number given by the person leaving matches the duplicate number clipped to the items left to avoid mix-ups and make it easier to retrieve them later.
5. The counter checker and cashier must ensure that only they—and NOT the customer—can cross items they have already scanned at the cash register. This way, the customer won’t take items that haven’t been paid for.
6. Make sure that the counter checker/porter separates food items from non-food items (e.g., soap and mosquito killer shouldn’t be with hopia and chocolate). If buying many bottles, place them on the bottom of the box so that the sides of the bottles touch. Eggs should be wrapped in another cellophane/carton without a BQ mark.
7. The counter checker/porter should be aware of the size of the bag for the customer's purchases. It should be just right—not too large and not too small.
8. Giving “extra plastic bags” or surplus bags is prohibited unless absolutely necessary, as they could cause purchases to fall. If a customer insists on an “extra bag,” please refer them to your Supervisor. If a customer requests a box for their purchase, even if it's small because they're far from home, accommodate them; don’t just say you can only cellophane it. Look for a way to make the customer happy by granting their request. If their purchase is boxed, mark it with the customer’s last name to avoid loss or mix-ups, especially with credit and different owners.
9. After wrapping the purchase, remind the customer to not forget it.
10. If there are excess or disapproved items, they must be returned immediately. Items that spoil quickly, like meat, fish, chicken, ice cream, etc., cannot be delayed in returning.
11. You must inform the Supervisor or Assistant Supervisor if you need to leave the store. Do not exit simultaneously when taking snacks or going to the restroom; carry an excuse tag.
12. The counter checker/porter can only deliver purchases to the door of H. Grupo, where they will hand it off to the dispatcher. The dispatcher will deliver the customer’s purchases.
13. This release slip must be shown to the security guard.
14. No counter checker is allowed to stand by in places outside their assigned area, as being caught will result in immediate penalties.
15. Counter checkers/porters are not allowed to accept commands personally from their superiors or supervisors.
16. You cannot give plastic bags to salespeople or anyone asking. If this happens, notify the Sales Manager.
17. All security guards are instructed to apprehend any staff passing through their door without a dispatch pass and bring them to management.
18. If encountering a difficult customer, maintain patience. Never show frustration or anger when serving the customer; always greet with a smile.
19. Don’t forget to thank the customer when handing over their purchases.
20. Be vigilant and keep an eye on anyone with suspicious intentions. Secretly report to the Supervisor if you notice anything unusual.
21. You are responsible for sweeping or mopping in the evening.
22. Do not cross to another counter where your regular customer is being served. You can assist your neighboring counter if yours is closed, or if instructed by the Checker and Supervisor to help a busy counter. After releasing a purchase to a customer, quickly return inside the store without lingering as if waiting for a tip.
23. Follow the orders of the Supervisor, Assistant Supervisor, and officials of Bohol Quality Corporation.
