Job Description

CAD Drafting & Design:

Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for various construction disciplines, including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and civil works, based on sketches, specifications, and verbal instructions from engineers and architects.

Modify existing drawings and incorporate revisions as required throughout the project lifecycle.

Develop accurate shop drawings, as-built drawings, and fabrication drawings.

Ensure all drawings comply with relevant Philippine building codes, industry standards, and project specifications.

Maintain consistency in drawing standards, layering, and block libraries across all projects.

Coordination & Collaboration:

Collaborate closely with project managers, site engineers, architects, and sub-contractors to understand project requirements and resolve design discrepancies.

Assist in coordinating drawings from different disciplines to identify and resolve clashes or conflicts before construction.

Participate in design review meetings, offering insights and technical feedback related to drawing production.

Document Control & Management:

Organize and maintain a comprehensive library of CAD files, drawings, and project documentation in an accessible and logical manner.

Manage drawing revisions, ensuring the latest versions are always available and distributed to relevant parties.

Perform quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company standards.

Software & Technology:

Proficiently use AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software (e.g., SketchUp, Revit, Civil 3D) as required by project needs.

Stay updated with the latest CAD software features, industry trends, and drafting best practices.

Support & Communication:

Provide technical support and assistance to project teams regarding drawing interpretation and use.

Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Perform other related duties as assigned to support project delivery and company operations.

Qualifications/Requirements

Education:

Graduate of a Diploma or Associate's degree in Architecture, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), Drafting Technology, or a related field.

Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering is a plus.

Experience:

Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as a CAD Operator, preferably within a general contracting firm or a related construction/design company in the Philippines.

Demonstrable portfolio of CAD drawings is a significant advantage.

Technical Skills:

Expert proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D).

Familiarity with other design software such as SketchUp, Revit, or Civil 3D is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of architectural, structural, and MEP drafting principles and standards.

Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in the Philippines (e.g., National Building Code of the Philippines).

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Soft Skills:

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively to meet deadlines.

Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
