Dispenses prescription medication and other medical products to patients under direction of licensed
pharmacist
Assist pharmacists by performing all clerical duties necessary to ensure that a pharmacy is running
efficiently.
Accurately count and pour medications from stock containers
Repackage and label products and extemporaneous doses
Release refill medications and over-the-counter products in accordance with existing procedures
Request new prescriptions from physicians where necessary
Provide patients and customers with necessary information about their prescriptions, medications and
products
Answering telephone calls in a professional manner, manage the cash register, and restock shelves
with medication and other pharmaceutical supplies.
Taking inventory of all medication and pharmaceutical supplies.
Directing all questions relating to prescriptions, health matters, or medications to the pharmacist.
Ensuring that work areas are organized and clean.
Receive prescriptions from patients plus verify needed information is written on form.
Rotate stock, move older medication to front shelf used prior to expiration date.
Provide prescription labels pharmacist for review.
Ensure to receive and put incoming supplies on shelves along with tag and price as per given directions.
Support pharmacists to prepare and dispense prescriptions.
Maintain and update records of prescription.
Assessing patients’ prescription for completeness
Packaging and labeling prescription medications.
Placing orders for stock to maintain inventory
Check for expired medications and discard it properly.
Help customers find what they need or send them to the pharmacist for more help.
Pharmacy cashier. Processing sales for customer. Operating the cash register, handling money
transactions- accepting payment for prescriptions.
Receiving, unloading, arranging and keeping records of deliveries.
Putting labels on zip locks.
Monitors prescription-filling process to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and pharmacy
policies
Liaises with healthcare providers and patients to obtain correct prescription information
Maintain confidentiality of patient data
Ensure products and shelves are kept neat and tidy
Adhere to quality assurance standards at all times
Keep pharmacy equipment clean and in good working order
