POSITION: CONSULTANT FOR MUSEUM AND CONTEMPORARY ART AND DESIGN

JOB SUMMARY:

Primarily responsible to head planning, organizing, funding, staffing, direction setting, activities implementation, as well as overall administrative supervision, in coordination and in agreement with the Director/Curator. As well as support acquisition, preservation, research, interpretation and presentation/exhibition in relation to MCAD.


Qualifications/Requirements

  • Preferably with a Graduate Degree in Arts (History, Management, Administration, Fine Arts, Humanities or Museum Studies) or related arts field
  • Preferably with extensive exposure in the administration and management of creative institutions
  • Has knowledge of, and interest in, art and art history, museum management theories, art techniques, exhibition design and installation, museum publications research (including designing and layout), fundraising principles and techniques, and public relations
  • Has demonstrated creative leadership skills
  • Has knowledge of fundraising, donor relations and advancement communications
  • Can relate with museum support groups and publics
  • Understands the intent of university museums
  • Have excellent interpersonal relationship and communication skills
