TAX AND COMPLIANCE OFFICER
The Tax and Compliance Officer is responsible for the preparation, submission, and timely filing of tax returns and clearances with the BIR, obtaining permits and licenses from the local government units, applications for accreditation and renewal with government regulatory agencies as well as compliance with the requirements of other entities, whether public or private, local, national or international.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure compliance with BIR rules and regulations as well as BIR substantiation requirements, and the proper withholding of taxes
- Prepare, review and file monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory compliance such as but not limited to:
• Payment and filing of the taxes (via eFPS or Manual)
• Expanded withholding tax report
• Value Added Tax (VAT)
• Income Tax Return and SAWT (Summary of Alpha list and Withholding Tax)
• Physical Inventory of BIR Forms
- Ensure proper monitoring of all Company permits, licenses, contracts, and agreements
- Monitor and review applications and renewals of accreditation and permits with any local government
- Keep and maintain all the records necessary for compliance with government regulations and with third-party transactions.
- Assist external auditors and provide information needed for the annual audit
- Perform all accounting related work assigned by the management
