Primary Role:The School Manager oversees the daily operations of the school, ensuring that academic, administrative, and operational activities are running efficiently. This role ensures compliance with educational policies, manages support staff, and facilitates coordination between departments.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Administrative and Operational Duties:
1. Oversee day-to-day school operations and administrative tasks.
2. Ensure all school facilities, supplies, and equipment are well-maintained.
3. Coordinate class schedules, school events, and examination timelines.
4. Manage school records including enrollment, attendance, and student files.
5. Implement and monitor school policies and procedures.
6. Coordinate with accounting for timely billing, collections, and payroll processing.
Human Resource Coordination:
1. Supervise and evaluate the performance of administrative and support staff.
2. Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of school personnel.
3. Handle staff concerns, work schedules, and task assignments.
4. Conduct performance evaluations in coordination with the Principal or CEO.
Academic Support:
1. Support teachers with scheduling, classroom needs, and curriculum execution.
2. Coordinate with the Principal and Academic Head for curriculum planning and faculty development.
3. Assist in monitoring student performance and discipline issues, when delegated.
Compliance and Reporting:
1. Ensure compliance with school, local government, and education board regulations.
2. Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports (e.g. student enrollment, income-expense, incident reports).
3. Maintain school licenses, permits, and accreditations in coordination with relevant departments.
Parent and Student Relations:
1. Address inquiries, feedback, and complaints from parents and students in a professional manner.
2. Organize parent-teacher conferences, orientations, and school events.
3. Promote a safe and welcoming school environment for students and visitors.
Marketing and Enrollment:
1. Assist in planning and implementing student recruitment campaigns.
2. Support the development and distribution of school promotional materials.
3. Work with the marketing team or assigned staff for school visibility and outreach.
Other Duties:
1. Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Principal or CEO.
2. Represent the school in external meetings or community activities when delegated.
