Qualifications/Requirements

JOB SUMMARY:
We are searching for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant who is an excellent multitasker with exceptional communication and time management skills. The Accounting Assistant is expected to assist the accounting department with data entry, processing, and recording transactions, updating the ledger, doing reports, and other tasks assigned and needed by the Finance Manager.
Job Description:
● Examination of documents to be attached to Journal or Check vouchers.
● Efficiently preparing vouchers.
● Reconcile bank statements and transactions to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
● Assist with payroll processing, including calculating wages, preparing payroll tax filings, and distributing paychecks.
● Perform basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, processing the mail, etc.
● Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders regarding accounting-related matters via phone, email, and in person.
● Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries and supporting schedules.
● Processing financial transactions and updating ledgers.
● Preparation of financial reports needed by the Finance Manager.
● Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.
● Collaborate with other team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
● Preparation of BIR relief and Alpha list.
● Assist in intercompany transactions.
● Perform shared services with various subsidiary companies.
● Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as accounting regulations and compliance standards.
Requirements:
● Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, and Business Management.
● At least 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or as an accounting assistant.
● Proficient with Microsoft Office, like Word and Excel.
● Competency with various databases and other accounting software is a plus.
● Good verbal communication skills especially in Tagalog and English.
● Exceptional time management and written communication skills.
● Strong familiarity with basic accounting principles.
● Professional manner and a strong ethical code.
● Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
● Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
● Must be located in the Philippines and willing to work in BGC, Taguig.
