ZONTAR MANPOWER SERVICES, INC. (ZONTAR for brevity) is a Philippine recruitment company duly licensed by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), the government agency that is mandated to manage the country’s overseas employment program. A corporation that is fully owned by Filipinos, it was established on September 05, 1993 to engage in the recruitment of Filipino manpower for jobs in Asia and the Middle East.

On April 2005, ZONTAR saw a change in management. The new group, composed of seasoned industry practitioners, exhibited more aggressiveness in its operations. It also mounted more marketing trips in search of international labor markets that are friendly to foreign workers, particularly overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

In its desire to help provide employment opportunities to residents in the far-flung areas of the country, ZONTAR established branch offices in the Visayas and Mindanao.

With Its local offices in Bacolod City, Cagayan de Oro, Davao City, General Santos City, Kidapawan City, Pagadian City, Roxas and Tacurong City, it has reached the farthest communities in the regions. The success of its mass-based recruitment has inspired ZONTAR to establish more local branches in the coming months.

ZONTAR boasts of a number of foreign partners in the Middle East like Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

In Asia, it maintains partnership with principals and clients in Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia and Singapore.

Over the years, ZONTAR has built a name in the overseas recruitment industry. It takes pride in being consistently listed in the “in good standing” roster of agencies of POEA. To maintain its clean record, it exercises caution in the selection of worker-applicants and employers, making sure that quality prevails over quantity at all times.

It religiously abides by the rules and regulations of government agencies involved in the documentation of OFWs like the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), POEA, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Technical Education and Skills Authority (TESDA) and other functionaries to avoid any violation or conflict.

To ensure that only qualified workers are selected and deployed, ZONTAR has established its in-house language training, skills training and assessment facilities. Pre-qualified applicants are required to undergo rigid orientation and training to prepare them adequately for the job abroad. Applicants who exhibit unpreparedness for overseas employment are immediately removed from the list of deployable workers.

As one of the industry leaders, ZONTAR is actively involved in the programs and activities of the DOLE, as well as those of local governments. It joins job fairs and regional recruitment activities organized by the public and private sectors.

As ZONTAR continues its journey, it is determined to facilitate more jobs for Filipinos who want to improve their lot. With the support of management and personnel who have shown their commitment and loyalty to the company, it will, undoubtedly, fulfill its mission and realize its vision not too far from now.
