Founded in 1982, Zensho has grown into a group with 9,824 restaurants and retail outlets, with 276.5 billion pesos annual sales. As of March 31, 2020, Zensho has firmly established itself at the top position among foodservice companies in Japan.
Among Zensho’s about 20 restaurant brands, Sukiya is their top and biggest brand. Their signature dish is gyudon, Japan’s favorite beef rice bowl. Now Sukiya is known as Japan’s No. 1 Gyudon restaurant chain with about 2,000 outlets.
