From a humble beginning of 3 people in 1986, it has grown to more than 40 times its size in four different locations in the island of Cebu. WELLMADE ranks as one of the largest in terms of capacity to serve the transport, power plants, marine/shipyards and manufacturing industries in the Philippines.
WELLMADE has been closely working with government and industry partners for more than 25 years in achieving what it is right now. In 2002, it became the first metalworking company to be certified ISO-9001:2015 global standards for Quality Management Systems by TUV Rheinland (Phils). Since then, it has received numerous awards and recognition by no less than the former President, His Excellency Rodrigo Roa Duterte for the Philippine Quality Award Level 2.
WELLMADE has been known and respected through most its history as an innovator of its engineering services that benefits various industries. Over the last few years, it has transformed its successful business model through collaboration, locally and globally, with its first international franchise in Selangor, Malaysia by 2012.

Started working as a gas pump boy at the age of 17 then grew to the rank; he was able to complete his Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Business Administration at the University of San Carlos as a working student.
Mr. Philip Ngai Tan can be described as the “Boss with a Heart” – firm yet fair, strong willed yet humble, tough yet sympathetic. As a management scholar, he was sent for International training programs to Asia and Europe. He takes pride in how his organization has institutionalized a level of professionalism, transparency and discipline from top management down to the rank and file. He requires his people to excel, become productive, quality conscious, innovative, and safety conscious.
