Company History
The company’s main outlet, Toyota Cebu City, started its operations on March 1, 1990 at no. 34 M.J. Cuenco Ave. Due to the market’s continued demand for automobiles, Toyota Mandaue North opened for business in February 1997. Furthermore, with the increasing demand for Body and Paint servicing, the company’s Customer Service program could no longer be efficiently performed, giving way to the construction of Toyota Mandaue Body and Paint center in May 2008. The facility is equipped with state-of-the art equipment, such as: body aligner, paint and spray booths, and large sewage treatment plants that make it one of its kind in the country. Toyota Mandaue Body and Paint Center eventually became Toyota Mandaue South, the company’s third outlet established in March 2013. This serves as the main operating branch.
In a strategic move aimed at expanding the company’s reach outside Cebu, Toyota Dumaguete City and Toyota Tagbilaran started their operations in December 2013 and November 2014 respectively. On December 9, 2013, Toyota Dumaguete City had its inauguration.
The business started out with just a handful of employees in the two story building sitting on an 8,000 square meter land area. The business has expanded to a total of one hundred one (101) directly hired team members, twenty-one (21) agency hired team members, sixteen (16) third party partners and on the job trainees or interns serving the needs of both the offices and the workshop.
Furthermore, in an effort to cater to the ever-growing clientele located in the North and South of Metro Cebu, Toyota Cebu City Inc. opened two more outlets. Toyota Talisay, which opened in May 2017, is located in Talisay City, which boasts a rich history and culture, as well as a booming economy. The dealership has an overwhelming frontage, and is one of the largest dealerships in the Philippines. It also features the first ever TCUV stand-alone showroom in the country. Toyota Lapu-Lapu opened in November 2017 and is located in the highly-urbanized island of Mactan, famous for its thriving tourism industry. This outlet is the latest addition to Toyota Cebu City Inc.’s array of customer-centric dealers in the Visayas region.
