Unilever Philippines which has started year 1993. The Main Office is located at A. Climaco Street, Talon-talon Loop Tetuan Zamboanga City and has branched out in Ipil, Zamboanga City.
Company History and Background
In 1989, the Philippine Refining Company (Unilever Philippines now) started its distributorship in Zamboanga City and no less than President Ernesto M. Allazas was part of the team. Four (4) years later, the priviledge of exclusive distributorship in Zamboanga City was awarded to President Allazas by the Charmain of POROCO (Philippine Refining Company) Industries. Given the distributorship, Southern Mindanao Enterprises (SME) was organized with Mr. Ernesto M. Allazas as both the General Manager and President of the company. The office is based in Zamboanga City with 10 employees handling the sales and office work.
In particular, there are two (2) Booking Salesmen, three (3) Distribution Salesmen and five (5) office personnel. The salesmen covered only secondary accounts (i.e sari sari stores, market stalls), from July 16, 1993 to December 31, 1993.
SME Zamboanga City has branched out in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay. Then there are outlets in Isabela City and Lamitan City; Jolo, Sulu; and Bongao, Tawi-tawi. In April 18, 2005, SME has opened another branch at Dumaguete City, showcasing Universal Robina Corporation (URC) products in the entire province in Negros Oriental.
