San Miguel Aerocity Inc. is a corporation whose primary purpose is to engage in and carry on a development and contracting business relating to the construction, operation and management of airports and airfields, its facilities, interchanges and roads, including its extensions, linkages and stretches, tollways and highways such as bridges, tunnels and railroads, piers, ports and other related public works, its construction and excavation and other related works including its operation and maintenance.
San Miguel Corporation’s (SMC) proposed USD15-billion Manila International Airport through San Miguel Aerocity, Inc. will rise on a 2,500-hectare property in Bulakan, Bulacan, is envisioned to solve problems on congestion for the long-term and be a facilitator of economic growth for the Philippines.
This new international gateway will have improved air passenger terminal facilities which can accommodate up to 100 million passengers annually. Its airside facilities also include four (4) parallel runways, its ultimate configuration, which has an option to extend until six (6) runways.
This project also includes aviation-related equipment and support facilities, as well as an 8-kilometer airport toll road linking the project with the North Luzon Expressway; there will also be a residential zone, a government center, a seaport and an industrial zone. San Miguel Aerocity Inc. is the concession holder for the project.
