HISTORY OF PROVERBS VILLE

Proverbs Ville Academy Foundation, Inc. formerly and more widely known as Proverbs Ville Academy, Inc. (PVA, Inc.) is a school that is the embodiment and fruition of; dedication, perseverance, hard work, passion, love, and humble beginnings.

Proverbs Ville Academy Foundation, Inc. first officially started off as Proverbs Ville Day-Care Centre, as a drop-off play center for toddlers and received its first batch of children, being merely comprised of 12 pupils and 2 teachers when Proverbs Ville first opened her first school year in 2004.

The school started out as a vocational day-care love project by the founder Dr. Christine Dayak, and her husband Engr. George Dayak who had a strong desire to teach, and nurture children, as a personal means for them in finding, and fulfill their purpose; that being to serve a higher cause above themselves.

The name Proverbs V ille was coined from the classic American children’s literature “Those Kids in Proverbs ville” by the founder’s youngest son, Christopher Bryan M. Dayak. The name brought life to the institution’s name and purpose; "a collection of collections" of the many examples of wisdom found in Biblical tradition. The school values character building and gives recognition not only to the academic success of the students, but especially to their development into reasonable, ethical, morally sound, emotionally balanced individuals as well.

In 2006, the realization of the learning institution and transition from Proverbs Ville Day-Care Center, to Proverbs Ville Academy, Inc. was approved by the SEC. Although the school has a Core Curriculum - under DSWD, Dr. Christine Dayak and the board members have always made it a point to make education special to maximize character development and growth for the school’s pupils.

During the years that followed the transition, Proverbs Ville Academy would see consistent annual growth; as each enrollment season, student populations would almost certainly double that of last years. The growth of the students in numbers was also seen in the physical development of the school as what can be seen on the buildings and halls that now stand on the school grounds today.

Six years after the transition, in 2012, DepEd granted the recognition under the license number of S.12.12 granting to offer courses in the Secondary Level. This resulted to the construction to the first building erected in campus officiated as; The James Bldg.

In 2015, the application of FAPE accreditation was approved and the Junior High School is now privileged to receive subsidy from the government, which gave rise to the laboratories, sports facility and the general halls namely; George Hall, The Silvino Maceren Bldg., and the PVAF Summit Gym.

In 2016, Proverbs Ville Academy finally transitioned to Proverbs Ville Academy Foundation, Inc. and expanded her offerings to the Senior High School education offering the following strands in GAS, ABM, TVL: Economics and Computer Hardware Servicing.

In 2019, PVAF prioritizes sustainability and going green by powering the Christine and Patricia building with solar. During this year the “Basura ko , Dala ko” policy was also enacted.

In 2020, in response to the challenges posed by Covid-19 and Typhoon Odette, the school strengthened its IT and Records department, enhancing digital archiving capabilities, upgrading internet connectivity, and installing access points across all buildings. These efforts aimed to support asynchronous learning and ensure quality education accessible from anywhere in the Philippines.

In 2021, the school added another strand, Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS), to its offerings.

In 2022, responding to community needs, the school expanded its offerings to include Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

In 2023, PVAF partnered with DOLE SPES to foster opportunities for educational and employment support.

Today 2024, After 20 years of opening its gates, the faculty and staff of PVAF continue to eagerly welcome students. Our mission remains: to empower minds, inspire hearts, and transform lives through education.
