Pandayan Bookshop is a corporation. It is a chain of stores than began in 1993 as a spin off from CVC Supermarket (founded in 1956). Both Pandayan and CVC belong to the Cabochan Group of Companies. Pandayan retails school and office supplies, books and magazines, posters and charts, gifts and house decor, toys and novelties, ladies and men’s accessories, arts and crafts supplies, snacks and beverages, and greeting cards.
Corporate Culture
The vision of Pandayan Bookshop is to become a national brand. Its mission is to be a “kabalikat ng pamayanan tungo sa kabutihan at karunungan.” Only a strong organization can pursue and achieve such a vision and mission. Thus, a corporate culture, called Kultura ng Tagumpay, serves as a common work guide for about one thousand employees. Employee empowerment, customer care, rewards, bonuses, profit sharing, and quality management are some of the main features of this corporate culture.
