Our History

The Beginning

Established in 1994 as a family business outfit by a Japanese businessman with Filipino family friends and linkages, the company saw its humble beginning at the province pf Cabuyao, Laguna; a one hour drive South of Manila.
The company’s primary target market was the booming nightlife and entertainment industry of Japan in which our Japanese pioneer had a lucrative business interests.
For two years operations the venture flourished and reaped successes for the handsomely paid and happily well-treated Filipino entertainment groups contracted with well-placed and popular Japanese clubs, hotels and restaurants in different Japanese cities.
Shortly thereafter in the succeeding years, as a direct reactions to some problems that props up to a few industry players, by way of protecting the interest of the Filipino talents, the Philippine government’s regulatory body introduced some restrictions; financial and procedural, that affected adversely the many aspects of the entertainment scenario, from the players, to the talents and performers that spilled over to the foreign clienteles.
The Diversification And Expansion
Given the above transformed landscape and being basically a universal landbased licensed agency, in 1996 management had deemed it wise to aggressively diversify and expand the company’s major operations by venturing into other foreign markets, other industries and other professions and skills.
The Upgrading
With the adaptation and implementation of the new 2002 POEA Rules and Regulations, the then sole proprietor ownership structure of Mori was upgraded to a corporation and thereby complying with all and every legal requirements as prescribed for by the Philippine Corporation Law; including but not limited to increasing its authorized capital from Php 1,000,000.00 to Php 8,000,000.00.
