Modern Time Enterprises Incorporated (MTEI) stemmed from two companies, Modern Time Enterprises (MTE) established 1979 and Modern Time Marketing Corporation (MTMC) established 1983. Both were a wholesaler and retailer of various products which includes plastic wares, glass wares, kitchen wares, and rubber sandals (now under Denver Sales & Marketing Corporation).
When MTEI first started, it was up against giant fertilizer companies which supplied the whole Mindanao area. By providing excellent, direct service, quality agricultural products, and by offering better purchase schemes to its valued customers; MTEI slowly capture most of the plantation market of Southern Philippines.
From its humble beginning as retailers to wholesaler and with the steadfast vision of its president and CEO, So Peng Kee it expanded into importing various grades of fertilizers.On 4th of November 1997, the company was incorporated with the Securities and Exchange Commission as Modern Time Enterprises Incorporated (MTEI).
