COMPANY HISTORY
MGM Motor Trading, Inc., handling the Nissan brand, was founded by Luis Manuel Banson and was acquired by the Tee Ten Group in 2004. It operates two dealerships in Libis and in Quezon Avenue. The Libis facility has a floor area of 5,300 sqm with approximately 4,000 sqm allocated to the service, while the Quezon Avenue facility has a floor area of 6,000 sqm. In 2007 MGMI was created to operate Nissan Cagayan De Oro, which eventually gives way to a Mazda dealership.
Prior to 2014, Nissan operation in the Philippines rested upon two National Sales Company, the Nissan Motor Philippines Incorporated (NMPI) and the Universal Motors Corporation (UMC). To strengthen the presence of Nissan in the country and improve operations, Nissan Motor Ltd. decided to create new entity that will carry the Nissan brand in the Philippines under one voice, one company; this pave way the birth of Nissan Philippines, Inc.
Nissan Ortigas and Quezon Avenue (aka Nissan Gallery Ortigas and Nissan Gallery Quezon Avenue), are accredited five star dealership of Nissan Philippines, Inc., offering Nissan product line up of personal cars and commercial vehicles, genuine parts and after sales services. The Quezon Avenue facility is currently the only Nissan High Performance Centre in the country and the exclusive dealer of the Nissan GT-R. It is also the first dealership in the world to comply with the Nissan NREDI 2.0 standard, when it made its debut on September 2016.
