METRO WEAR INCORPORATED was founded in January 1997 as a sports apparel manufacturing company located in MEPZ 1, Lapu-Lapu City, Philippines. Spanning an 8,000 m2 lot area, the factory comprises 2-storey production floors, fabric and accessories warehouses, an inspection room, admin offices, logistics area, clinic, and canteen.
By early 2010, the production sewing line had expanded to 70, and the company's workforce grew to 2,543 employees by the year's end. Specializing in knits and woven fabrics, the company prides itself on producing high-quality jackets, shorts, pants, polo shirts (both short and long sleeve), and T-shirts. Operating round the clock with morning and night shifts from Monday to Saturday, employee attendance is meticulously tracked using biometrics.
