The Mariveles Harbor Corporation Mariveles Multi-Purpose Terminal (MMT) is located within the Freeport Area of Bataan, a freeport area with duty free and tax incentives, and has a 25-year lease renewable for another 25 years in a 15-hectare property in Mariveles, Bataan.
It is the first multi-purpose terminal inside the Freeport zone that can handle at least 1,200,000 MT per annum of Dry Bulk, Breakbulk and Project Cargoes. The port can handle up to Supramax Vessels with the capacity up to 60,000 deadweight tons, with a natural draft of - 13.5 Meters MLLW. Lies at the tip of the Bataan Peninsula that forms the northern tip of Manila Bay. It is an all-year round, all weather port.
MMT is a purpose-built dry bulk terminal that can handle the discharge of coal, clinker, silica sand, gypsum and other cement raw materials, fertilizer and other dry bulk cargo. The terminal can also handle breakbulk cargoes such as steel, bagged, general and heavy lift project cargoes, and other unitized cargoes.
