It was established in 1983 by its Founder/President, Robert L. Palomo, deriving its name from the biblical passage in Genesis 1: 27 “And God, created man in His own image, Male and female He created them… ” capturing the true and deeper meaning of the words “Great Image” in its deepest sense.

Mr. Palomo was later joined by wife , Evelyn “Toots” M. Palomo in 1986. A very enterprising husband and wife team, Robert and Toots Palomo, out of sheer hobby and interest that they both shared ventured together to make the business a “success”. Knowing the penchant of Filipinos to capture the best and happiest moments in their lives whether in a photo or video—be it weddings, birthdays, baptisms, graduation or a simple barkada get-together— a photo/video has become a very enticing business.

The Palomos were then greatly inspired to make Great Image a part of every special family’s celebrations of important milestones and special occasions, by introducing and offering an excellent Photo and Video services to capture those special family moments.

What started out as a mere hobby of a fun-loving couple, grew into a lucrative business venture. The first outlet was located in SM Cubao, then in a famous commercial hub. The couple’s great teamwork grew the business from a simple photo studio to a profitable, one-stop professional photo and video services . And because Great Image was able to earn a good Company reputation with its sustained revenue growth, major shopping malls like SM and Robinsons groups made sure that a Great Image outlet is present in every mall developments. Great Image number of outlets grew fast as the years passed, and has successfully dominated the Photo Industry market.

Investing in some major overhauls of all its studios were one among its agenda on top of other innovative technological innovations. From it is original colorful and playful designs , Great Image has simplified its store presentation and colors were reduced to just black and white, with only the photographs giving life and color in 2007.

In 2016 , Designers incorporated a modern and trendy “homey-like” feel of earth colors in its store looks, adding coziness to its ambience which has now been featured in all its newly opened and renovated stores for 2016 .
