Demetrio’s is a redemption story. Did you know that the demetrio’s founder used to own a local bakery chain in CDO and, after having to close down all his shops due to a global pandemic, decided to repurpose his bread baking oven into a pizza oven? In October of 2020, Daniel Mejia decided to put up an unassuming pop-up pizza place with repurposed equipment and a simple menu of pizza and pasta. He named the brand “demetrio’s” in honor of his father who survived a freak car accident and got a 2nd shot at life. This was the inspiration for the playful and witty tagline, “dem good pizza.”
This was during a time when the world was stuck at home and the most valuable thing was human connection. No human experience can compare to that of sharing a meal together and no food can bring people together like pizza can. We didn't just make dem good pizza. We created an avenue for families and friends to share dem good moments through our pizza. Now with more than 100,000 pizzas made and moments shared, demetrio’s aims to bring the Filipino pizza family tradition to the world.
Our mission is to be the trusted pizzeria where young Filipino families make dem good memories, and we are driven by our core values of D.E.M. Dependable "we do what we say", Enjoy "we enjoy what we do", and More "we do more than what is expected". We pride ourselves on continuous improvement to surprise and delight our target customers' needs better than anyone else.
