COFIPORT, INC. is a company established in April 2017 as part of the WBagadion Group of Companies. Guided by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and Philippine Coffee Industry Roadmap 2017-2022, the company was founded with the following vision:
“To become a trusted supplier of food and beverage products that are ethically sourced, grown and produced in sustainable manners, and contribute to better health and well-being of both producers and consumers.”
The company was originally established as an importer of premium commodity-grade and specialty coffee mainly from Latin America and Asia. It has established a reputation for being the only Philippine company that imports raw green beans directly from Colombia (as published in the Colombian Embassy’s website in 2021) which honors and supports the global coffee industry’s traceability initiatives. To guarantee the freshness of flavor, the raw green coffee beans are roasted upon order in the Philippines.
Since its establishment, the company has expanded its purpose into manufacturing, export and distribution as well as its product offerings which include teas and infusions, dried fruits, nuts, herbs and spices, and ready-to-drink beverages (i.e. kombucha, fruit/fruit tea drinks). In line with its vision, the teas and infusions are made from natural ingredients (no added sugar or preservatives/additives) and are sold as loose leaf which is considered premium and top quality.
In line with the SDGs and part of its long-term expansion goals, COFIPORT INC. aims to establish a “farm to table” eco-tourism destination for Filipinos and tourists.
