BENGUETCORP LABORATORIES INC is a business entity of Benguet Corporation that started in 1930 primarily to serve the employees and dependents of Benguet Corporation.
Benguet Laboratories started in 1930. It was first housed at the former Notre Dame de Lourdes Hospital (NLDH) at General Luna Road, Baguio City. It served the hospital’s laboratory, x-ray and physical therapy needs, catering to BC employees and their dependents as well as the general public.
Upon the expiration of its contract with NDLH in 1987, it transferred to a new site located at Military Cut-off, Baguio City. Realizing the importance of providing medical services to an expanding population in 1994, the facility was moved to 141 Abanao Extension Road, Baguio City. The facility then expanded its market share covering the BLIST area (Baguio, La Trinidad, Itogon, Sablan and Tuba.)
To further attain its goal of expanding market share, Benguet Laboratories transferred to the City’s central business district.
In July 2007, Benguet Laboratories opened its first branch to accommodate its growing number of corporate clients. Said branch can be found at the 4th Floor of Baguio Centermall, Magsaysay Avenue, Baguio City.
In 2012, the company spun off the business and created a wholly owned subsidy, BenguetCorp Laboratories, Inc. (BCLI).
In 2014, another multi-specialty clinic was opened under the trade name “MEDCENTRAL” located at San Fernando, Pampanga.
Also in 2014, another clinic was opened under the trade name “MEDCENTRAL” located at Taytay, Rizal.
In June 2017, BCLI-Baguio SM Branch transferred to a new site located at the SM Cyberzone Building, adjacent to the SM Mall, to meet the growing demands of our clients. Bigger and better facilities, with the added services of Dental and Psychological Testing.
Benguet Laboratories takes pride in being a consistent recipient of excellent reviews and awards from the Bureau of Research Laboratories of the Department of Health. It has been acclaimed for its contributions as one of the best training centers for Medical Technology and Radiologic Technology students from different schools and Universities in the City of Baguio. Benguet Laboratories keeps up to its service to the highest standard by offering quality services with competitive rates.
