The history of Baker’s Percent bakeshop actually began, when Mr. Fernando Borja, then the production manager of Jollibee Foods Corporation visited Tuguegarao City to look for a bakery who will supply breads for Jollibee stores in Cagayan and Isabela. Unfortunately not even one bakery passed the requirements. Mr. Borja realized that it would be very hard for them to find a local provincial partner since Jollibee sets high standards so He decided to leave his job and put up a bakery of his own and partnered with Jollibee, whom He credit his 19 years of experience. This leads to the birth of BAKER’S PERCENT BAKESHOP.
It was October 17, 2001 when Baker’s Percent Bakeshop along Caritan Centro first offered their products to Cagayanos. The positive response of their customers triggered the need for expansion thus capturing a bigger portion of the market. Soon thereafter the company opened its 2nd branch along Balzain Hi-Way Tuguegarao City. After years of hard work and market immersion, Baker’s Percent finally opened its doors to more customers Located at Buntun highway Tuguegarao City, before the company transferred to our new site at Baker’s Percent Tugueagarao Commissary last August 18, 2012. After the Birth of Baker’s Percent Bonifacio Branch last June 28, 2012.
October 20, 2007 additional Jollibee stores in Pampanga, Baguio, Bulacan, Tarlac and Pangasinan were further added to their lists. This caught their attention and expand even greater by putting up another commissary in Sta. Barbara Pangasinan before the company was able to transfer in Angeles Pampanga. The Angeles Pampanga commissary services the requirements of more than 100 Jollibee stores in North expressway and other Jollibee stores in North Luzon Provinces.
Our passion to provide good quality and best tasting breads is what drives us to continue improve and develop all our resources and technologies. Yearly, numerous products were introduced to the market competitively. Today, we cater not only to the major clientele but also to a wide array of customers along Cagayan, Ilocos and Isabela provinces.
Baker’s Percent Overview
For many years now, Baker’s Percent has consistently acclaimed as one of the Home of best breads in town. In fact, recent assessment reveal that indeed, Baker’s Percent is currently the foremost Bakeshop in Northern Luzon, a distinction long desired and dreamt of its founder, Mr. Fernando P. Borja. He knew along that success will come sooner and this serves as an inspiration and a challenge for him to continuously enhance his level of performance and service to the clientele. Baker’s Percent Bakeshop is an unheard-of brand before; we are not known in this market the way our competitors known in the town. It may be true that there is a huge potential market for Baker’s Percent in Luzon. But could we really tap on it? We had our doubts. The only thing we are certain of is that we are prepared to give the customers delightful experiences in our stores, better than the competition in the market.
Then came the opening day of BUNTUN BRANCH, LAOAG BRANCH and BONIFACIO BRANCH. It was one humbling experience as we prayerfully wished that the customers, who were walking by, looking at the stores, would enter and gives Baker’s Percent a try. The opening team together with the owners and store supervisors and staff, were raring to give their best to the customers. We all wanted each customer to have a delightful experience that would make them return, an experience that would make him our brand endorser to relatives and friends. For an unknown brand in a business market, we know that this is ticket to acceptance. There is no other way to stake a claim on this- just happy and delighted customers. We will get the same feeling when we open new stores like our Baker’s Percent Paseo Branch and Baker’s Percent Balzain branch. .
