WHOLESALE AND RETAIL TRADE

Bacolod Columbia Marketing, Inc. is in the business of marketing and distributing fast-moving consumer goods since the start of its operations in July 19, 1979.

From one delivery truck and two hard-working pioneers in 1979, it has now evolved to a significant industry player in distribution operations covering Negros Occidental and Negros Oriental with more than 50 delivery vans and 300 employees.

Its main office and warehouse is located in a 10,000-square meter property in Bacolod City with warehousing capacity of 5,000 square meters. It is proud to be on the forefront of state-of-the-art warehousing technology by making use of three- and four-tiered steel racks and advance operating equipment such as forklifts, trailers and tractor heads for efficient inventory management. With the completion of its latest investment in warehousing technology, it now utilizes conveyor equipment for a more efficient method of mobilizing stocks.

Last October 2012, it has further established its position in Negros as it opened its office and warehouse in the central area of Dumaguete City. With a warehousing capacity of 720 square meters and by employing the same technology in its main warehouse, the company has improved its distribution system in Negros Oriental while increasing cost-efficiency.

The company’s competitive advantage lies in three key areas: unparalleled distribution strategies, consistency and stability, and active management.

With the right mix of experienced professionals and ample resources, the company has well penetrated the market in all areas of Negros and in all distribution channels, particularly key accounts, institutional accounts, secondary groceries and convenience stores, as well as tertiary outlets including sari-sari stores. The consistence and stability of the company can be well founded in its 36 years of uninterrupted and increasing business. Opportunities for growth continue to present itself to the company, but it is its strong grasp of the market and the expertise of seasoned managers that continues its success.

Mr. Alfonso Choa, the owner and General Manager of the company, heads a workforce of 300 employees using a hands-on approach, prudent management and motivational leadership. It is with his vast experience and strong leadership spanning more than three decades that Bacolod Columbia Marketing, Inc. has become one of the respected and established distribution companies in the region.
