It was established on May 13, 1957 and currently operates under Certificate of Authority No. 2022/27-R, valid until December 31, 2024, granted by the Insurance Commission. Further, it is licensed as a Surety Company under Administrative Order No. 244, approved by the president of the Republic of the Philippines. Historically, Alpha Insurance & Surety Company Inc. was part of a huge conglomerate that pioneered the steel industry in the Philippines. Back then, the Company primarily served the insurance needs of its parent company and its subsidiaries.

Since the Company had been under the new management of the Remo family in 1999, it has advanced gradually but significantly through the years and was able to sustain its remarkable market share and maintained its established niche in Motor Car and Surety lines. Fast forward to the present, Alpha Insurance & Surety Company, Inc., is gaining its momentum in terms of competitiveness in the field of business operation expansion, agency recruitment and training as well as product development. Its efficient operational and organizational management is reflected in its ascending financial key performance indicators. As of 2023, it has ranked 13th and 19th in terms of Paid –Up Capitalization and Net Worth respectively among its 53 competitors in the industry.
