I. According to statistics, the Philippines has one of the lowest rice production compared to our Southeast Asian neighbors. Our average production on a national level is only approximately four (4) tons per hectare compared to other Asian countries with 5 to 7 tons.

Based on our study, there were three (3) significant factors that limit the actual production potential of our small and marginal rice farmers, to wit: 1) insufficient capital or funds, 2) outdated farming practices, and 3) lack of labor supply. Hence, the birth of AGRIFUND AP FINANCE CORP. (AFC). Come 2019, AFC has aimed to help increase the productivity of various industries, not just the agriculture sector but also other marginalized sectors, including Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), which need growth and development to reach optimum level by extending additional capital, financial and business literacy and technological innovations.

II. PURPOSE STATEMENT

AFC was established primarily to help increase the productivity of various industries, particularly the agricultural sector and other marginalized sectors, as well as MSMEs growth and development to reach optimum level by extending additional capital, financial and business literacy, and technological innovations.

To address the age-old problem of small and marginal farmers' lack of sufficient funds or capital and the non-stability of MSMEs in a competitive economy due to the difficulty of credit and financial access, AFC offers convenient and affordable financing through its loan products.

Also, compared to loans offered by banks and other financial institutions, AFC Loan offers rebates, easy-to-comply requirements, faster credit approval, and loan release.

III. OPERATIONS

AFC’s Strategic Plan includes visibility through a continuous increase in the number of areas of operation nationwide and online, mainly social media, which is the growing trend in promotion and marketing.

For the agricultural sector, AFC is operating in Tarlac (Pura), Nueva Ecija (Guimba, Zaragosa, Talavera), Isabela (Roxas), Camarines Sur (Pili and Ocampo) and Albay (Ligao and Malinao).

For the MSME sector, AFC is operating in the National Capital Regioan (NCR), Cavite, Batangas, Laguna, Rizal, Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija and Pangasinan.
