COMPANY HISTORY

Access to credit for business finance is considered one of the major tools against poverty eradication. Commercial banks, which are the traditional sources of credit for most Filipinos lend only to people or businesses with ‘acceptable’ collateral. Yet many micro, small and medium enterprise owners do not own such collateral. Therefore, many people with good business ideas could hitherto not undertake or grow their businesses due to lack of credit. However, with the arrival of many microfinance and lending service providers in the Philippines, many people have been able to access credit from these institutions either as individuals or in groups. Unlike traditional banks which restrict their branches to major owns, microfinance companies are striving to each almost every corner of the country.
One such company is Advance Credit Corporation or ACC. It was established in Guimba, Nueva Ecja in 1994 and was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission with S.E.C. Registration No. AS094-008533 on September 21, 1994. ACC was given approval to operate as a lending institution by the Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas under Resolution No. 638 on June 14, 1995.
At the beginning, the announcement that ACC was offering loans to people without requiring collateral and at minimal interest per month seemed unbelievable. But many Filipinos have joined the queue and have since accessed loans at some of the lowest interest rates available in the country. ACC have introduced unique ways of lending money, offering business and financial advice to their members
