This job directly reports to the Sr. Accounting Manager and is responsible for managing and overseeing Accountants under General Accounting and in establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles. This also includes the statutory requirements and
initiating best practice in other Accounting functions. Moreover, developing, molding and building the entire team of Accountants is highly emphasized to achieve the departmental and corporate objectives while preserving a unified culture of values in PRG.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manages, directs, and reviews the work of General Accountants ensuring thorough compliance of company policies, including timely, complete and accurate recording of transactions.
  • Allocates duties, tasks identification, training and supervision of each team member’s activities. Ensures that each team member has a list of Key Performance Indicators that can be measured and recorded for annual performance review.
  • Prepares reports requested from the Accounting Manager and Chief Finance Officer such as: Monthly Management’s Dashboard, Financial Statements, Reporting of Issues & Concerns and others.
  • Resolves minor and major issues pertaining to General Accounting.  He/She may set necessary departmental meetings or external partner meetings, issue corporate memorandum for new policies and procedures, revise Accounting manuals deemed necessary for continuous improvement.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of goals and objectives for the Finance and Accounting department to drive improvements within the team and other operating departments.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • CPA 
  • Should have at least 5 years managerial experience. 
  • Understands how to do proper Holdings Accounting.
  • Accountant of a business of at least P1-5B in Gross Revenue.
  • Proven knowledge in bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
  • Strong communication skills both in oral and written.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required with the ability to manage relationships both internally and externally.
  • Honest and trustworthy.
