Job description
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Troubleshoot and Repair
* Accounts for all tools, parts and equipment in work area ensuring safety of equipment and preventing and avoiding damage to tools
* Performs set-up, testing, operation and tear down of AV equipment (e.g. video data projection systems, audio and videoconferencing equipment, microphones, audio systems, and operation of integrated AV systems)
* Provides extensive basic and advanced troubleshooting for AV related technology
* Recommends and identifies units for warranty servicing and/or for voided warranty servicing with effective results
* Practices "first in, first out" from all repair endorsements to ensure fast and efficient repairs and lowering repair turnaround time
* Ensures all repairs are validated to be quality repairs to avoid back jobs
* Recommends parts for replacement and/or if repairs are beyond economic repair
* Works closely with Spare Parts and Service Warehouse Controller to ensure parts are beings provided and made available to complete repairs
* Ensures that all units repaired and defective parts are being endorsed back to Spare Parts and Service Warehouse Controller to be stored in the Service Warehouse for safekeeping and to minimize losses/missing unit
* Coordinates with Customer Service Coordinators for any recommended follow-ups to clients concerning repair issues
* Coordinates with Tech Lead and Senior Quality Lead Engineer to address/resolve any client concerns, requests and/or complaint
* Keeps abreast of the latest technical/repair know-how by performing repairs from time to time
* Studies new product information from the products that the department services and caters to
* Can understand schematic Diagram
B. Documentation
* Documents all troubleshooting steps done, parts replaced, and recommended steps completely specifying every detail for all in-house repairs
